A firm that asks you to trust it with your AI visibility should show you its own first. So here is ours. Real numbers, the date we took them, what we changed, and when we test again.
Day 0: October 26, 2026
We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity eight questions our buyers ask. For example: "Who does AEO and GEO work for businesses in Austin, Texas?" and "How much does AI search visibility consulting cost in Austin, Texas?" We got 29 answers back.
- Named in 0 of 29 answers. ChatGPT 0 of 8. Claude 0 of 8. Gemini 0 of 8. Perplexity 0 of 5.
- Site readiness: 96 of 100. AI could read our site fine. It just had no reason to name us yet.
- Bing had indexed none of our pages. ChatGPT's live search leans on Bing. To ChatGPT, we barely existed.
- The firms named instead had a page written for that exact question, and profiles on the directory sites the AI assistants quoted.
That is the same gap we find in most businesses we audit. Readable is not the same as recommended.
What we changed, and when
- October 27, 2026. Answered all eight buyer questions on our homepage in plain words, with FAQ markup that matches what is on the page.
- October 27, 2026. Moved the site off a page builder to plain HTML that loads fast and reads without JavaScript.
- October 30, 2026. Told Bing about our pages through IndexNow. Added our founder, prices and profile links to our business markup. Opened robots.txt to every major AI crawler by name.
- October 30, 2026. Published a page for each thing buyers ask about: AEO and GEO, AI agents, pricing, and how to choose a firm.
- October 30, 2026. Published a page for oil and gas, mineral and royalty companies. Those questions are not part of the eight we test here, so that page does not change this comparison.
- November 2, 2026. Published pages for funded startups, Texas realtors and private equity and hedge funds, plus comparisons of the firms that serve each group. Those questions are also outside the eight we test here.
- November 3, 2026. Published two plain guides for business owners: how to get your business recommended by AI and how to start using AI agents.
What we will not claim
No promised number. Nobody controls what an AI assistant says. AI answers also change day to day, so one test is a snapshot, not a verdict. What we can promise is the method: the same eight questions, the same four assistants, every time, with the results posted here.
Next test: November 17, 2026
New pages take two to four weeks to get crawled, so testing sooner would measure nothing. On November 17 we ask the same eight questions again and post what moved and what did not, good or bad.
